The book contains papers in economics submitted to 9th International Conference on Applied Economics Contemporary Issues in Economy, 22-23 June 2017. The conference was hosted by The Department of Economics at The Faculty of Economics and Management at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun in Poland and was organized by Polish Economic Society Branch in Torun and Institute of Economic Research in partnership with Brno University of Technology (Czech Republic), Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Institute of Technology (Greece), Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Centre for Economic and Regional Studies, Institute of World Economics (Hungary), Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania), Pablo de Olavide University (Spain), University of Economics in Bratislava (Slovakia) and in cooperation with: Pan-European University (Slovakia), Private Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Technik (Germany), Riga Technical University (Latvia), Tomas Bata University in Zlin (Czech Republic), University of Economics and Culture (Latvia), University of Entrepreneurship and Law (Czech Republic). European Regional Science Association. Sekcja polska and Slovak Society for Operations Research were international, scientific, institutional partners of the conference. Mayor of Torun Michal Zaleski took honorary patronage of the conference. The conference was especially addressed to economist from all European Union countries and Eastern Europe.
